Marriage Equality: GLBT couples can get married in New Hampshir, and New Hampshire will recognize marriages performed in other states and countries.

Adoption and Foster Care: New Hampshire allows any qualified individual to adopt or provide foster care. Children can be placed with GLBT parents if it is in the best interest of the individual child.

Anti-Discrimination Laws: In New Hampshire, it is illegal to discriminate against someone based on their sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation or HIV status in employment, housing, and public accommodations. New Hampshire Freedom to Marry Coalition is currently working on legislation to more explicitly add gender identity or expression to the anti-discrimination laws.

Hate Crimes Laws: In New Hampshire, if a crime is committed against someone, and the crime can be proven to be motivated by the victim’s sexual orientation, then additional hate crimes charges can be added.
